2007 Health Survey Results

BCSA’s Health Committee is pleased to publish the results of its first breed health survey, completed in 2007. Their goals were to identify the top 10 health concerns in the Border Collie population, in order to direct financial assets to support research and education. Additionally, the results of this survey were utilized on the club’s application letter requesting entry of the Border Collie in the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) database.

A total of 300 surveys were received with information obtained on 860 dogs. Surveys were received from 39 states plus Ontario.
