MYRA GIORGI

Return to Junior's Program Central

Sabo is my first Border Collie and he’s definitely an oddity among four Dachshunds. My family has been showing Dachshunds for generations so when I happily jumped into the showing a few years ago I really made them proud. Bringing Sabo into the house was a drastic change. He has been a great learning experience and took a lot of adjustment. Owning a Border Collie has taught me a new way to handle dogs in life and for show.

I love the conformation ring and soon Sabo and I will be competing in agility. Due to the fact that I live in the big city of Miami, Sabo’s working space is limited. I wake up at 5am when the rest of my neighborhood is asleep and work Sabo in my front yard then take him for a bike ride around the community before heading off to school.

I am a Junior at Ferguson Sr. and partake in the schools FFA chapter; my love of dogs has become my S.A.E. project for FFA. Dogs are not my only passion; band plays a major part in my life as well. I am a tuba player in my schools concert and marching band. I spend just as much time practicing my tuba as I do training my dogs.

I love owning a Border Collie, Sabo has made my life so much more fun and I can’t wait for Nationals.
