The number of Herding Titles earned in 2009 was 2,075. In
2008 this was1,928 for an increase of 149.

The number of dogs competing in Herding Trials was
10,326. This is compared to 9,688 in 2008 The increase between 2009 and 2008
was 638.

The number of dogs competing in Herding Tests was 2,674
in 2009 compared to 2,410 in 2008 for an increase of 254.

The number of Herding Trials in 2009 was 457 which was up
46 from the previous year. In 2008 there was 411. The number of Herding
Tests 1n 2009 was 320 which was up 50 from the previous year which was 270
in 2008.
HERDING TESTED:
Border Collies constituted approximately 27% of the Tested titles for 1%
less than 2008.
HERDING TRIAL:
Border Collies constituted 42% of the Trial titles and 57% of the total HX
titles.
