I now have 5 Border Collies, a flock of sheep and some ducks. My primary interest with my dogs is performance. Together we have earned 1 CDX, 3 CD, 2 TDX, 3 TD, 1 OA, 2 OAJ, 2 NA, 2 NAJ, 3 PT, 4 HSAs and numerous other titles in AHBA, UKC, ASCA and NADAC. I have also trained and titled dogs for friends in herding (2 PT) and tracking (1 TD). Besides training my own dogs, I also teach agility and herding. I have also ventured into the conformation ring. I have finished 2 CH, both of which had performance titles before earning their CH. In 2004, the pup that I kept from my first litter won the Multi-Titled Bitch class at the Performance Match. She went on to be awarded Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Match. One of my two CH dogs won the Herding Titled Bitch class in 2004 as well. In my life outside dogs, I work full time as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. I also do some work with Border Collie rescue. I have been involved with several of the BCSA national specialties first working toward adding a tracking event and chairing the whole thing in 2004 and again in 2006. Currently I am the chair of the health committee for BCSA, help out with the ROM scoreboard and have been helping add content to the BCSA website. I am honored to judge the Performance Match at the 2005 National Specialty. I hope that this event continues to introduce performance exhibitors to the conformation ring.
