CONFORMATION SWEEPSTAKES JUDGE ROBIN PENLAND


Robin Penland says, "I enjoy the challenge of this sport more than anything I have ever done. The teamwork that is created between you and your dog is simply amazing."

Since 1995, Robin has been a nationally ranked herding trial handler; but teaching and training are her real passions. In addition to working her own dogs, she professionally trains dogs for others, and also teaches herding lessons. She owns a working sheep ranch, and also runs cattle. Her farm, On The Lamb Ranch, hosts several stock dog trials each year.

  • United States Team Member World Championship - Ireland 05

  • New Mexico State Champion 6 Times - 99, 00, 01, 02, 03, 04

  • First overall at Soldier Hollow Classic Reserve Champion Finals Silver Medallist - 03

  • Open Dog of the Year CA - 5 Times

  • Open Team Champion CA - 2 Times

  • San Diego Open Dog of the Year Ca - 3 Times

  • Paso Robles Invitational Champion - 3 Times

  • Arizona State Champion residing since 98

  • Spanish Creek Champion - 2 Times

  • HIT, RHIT, and High Score at the BCSA National Specialty - 2001, 2002, & 2004

  • Invited to judge the herding trial at the 2003 BCSA National Specialty
