Lisa Pruka

AKC Delegate

Bio

I’ve been actively involved in Border Collies since 1997. I currently show my dogs in herding, agility, obedience, tracking and conformation. I have served the BCSA for the past two years as a Board Member and have previously held the following board positions; Vice President, President and Past President.

I am an AKC herding judge as well as an Evaluator for the new AKC agility program. I have judged sweepstakes at one BCSA National Specialty and two regional specialties.

My interest in Border Collies is extensive. I maintain a vast pedigree collection that represents Border Collies worldwide. My database includes the complete studbook collection prior to AKC recognition. This inclusive collection is currently maintained through 2016. This hobby allowed me to compile all of the information available to you through BCSA’s ROM program, available on BCSA’s website.

In addition, I have also worked on behalf of the BCSA in the following capacity:

  • Judges education presenter, including the Judges Institute held in conjunction with the Louisville cluster
  • Chair and or Co-Chair of four (4) BCSA National Specialties
  • Health Committee Chair

I’m a co-founding member of both the Northern Illinois Stock Dog Club and the Heartland Border Collie Club of Illinois. I currently serve as treasurer for both clubs. I am also a member of the Forest City Dog Training Club and Wisconsin Working Stock Dog Association.

The continued preservation of the Border Collie is extremely important to me and I look forward to serving you as your AKC delegate.
