Report of the March 2010 AKC Delegates' meeting held in Newark NJ..

The following Delegates were elected to the AKC Board of Directors Class of 2014
-
Dr. Charles Garvin, Delegate for the Marion Ohio Kennel Club
-
Dr. William Newman, Delegate for the Mastiff Club of America
-
Pat Scully, Delegate for the Obedience Training of Hawaii
-
-
The following clubs were elected as members of The American Kennel Club:

The Anatolian Shepherd Club of America
-
The Belle Citty Kennel Club
-
-
The Group Realignment Committee Chair, Dr. Tom Davies, spoke to the delegates and stated that the committee had recognized after listening to the delegates and fancy that the proposal needed more work. He recommended that the matter be referred back to the Board, which was passed after motion and second.

Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules was amended to delete telegram.
-
Chapter 14 of Field Trial Rules and Standard Procedures for Pointing Breeds was amended to provide minimum standards for National Championship Events.

Chapter 10, Section 1-6 of Dog Show Rukes was introduced for change, but some verbage was unclear so it was referred back to committee for further work

The First Quarter AKC Community Achievement Award recipients were announced:
