My
name is Terri Clingerman and I'm currently serving as BCSA's
Corresponding Secretary. I've enjoyed doing that for the past four years
but time constraints prevent me from continuing in that position.
However, I still want to serve the club and also provide some continuity
within the board, so am running for Board Member at Large #1 for the
2011-2012 term.
I've been involved in dog sports for 20 years, starting in obedience with Labrador Retrievers. I got my first BC 7 years ago, and life hasn't been the same since! My Rhys is a wonderful dog, and he epitomizes the very best qualities of a Border Collie. Because of him, I now have sheep! And two more BCs have joined the family in the past few years. I compete in many different venues... over the years my Labs and BCs have earned 4 OTCHs, two TDs, an HC, and multiple agility and hunt test titles. I even compete in conformation now with my young Cardigan Welsh Corgi. My favorite venues with my BCs, though, are herding and obedience.
I'm a member of local obedience and kennel clubs, as well as the Cardigan parent club. I'm also an AKC obedience judge, approved to judge all levels. I believe that all serious exhibitors need to support the sport and their clubs however they can. I look forward to serving BCSA for another two years.
