Please take a few minutes to complete this online Border Collie
Health Survey (link below), and encourage other BC owners across all
disciplines and registries, and from all parts of the world, to
share their information as well. The data will be used to direct
future involvement in scientific studies that benefit the breed.
Your willingness to contribute to this important effort and your
effort to cross post the survey link, and distribute survey flyers
at dog events, are sincerely appreciated.
This survey focuses
on Cancer and Neurologic/Behavioral Disorders, but data for other
disorders common to BCs will also be collected. We need data from
ALL BCs, including healthy BCs, and BCs who were counted in the 2007
survey. Please have your vet records handy so you can report any
diagnosis accurately.
Data is collected
anonymously, and results will be updated regularly on the BCSA
website. The Survey will remain open for 12 months between October
2011 and October 2012.
