BORDER COLLIE COLOR

Return to Breed Color

WHITE TICKED - Registration Code: 507

Description: Base color is white. Pup would be born white with perhaps a color patch somewhere on the body. Nose leather will be black or red/brown depending on the color of the dog.  Ticking will be whatever the genetic color of the dog would be if not white. Ticking, when heavy, is confused with Merling.  Merle is random in distribution and ticking is confined to white areas.

Donna Anderson's "Izzy" - According to Donna Anderson,
who submitted these pictures, this dog is primarily white.  It
can be seen that the ticking is red, the genetic color of the
dog, but  is not in patches like a Merle would be."
