| 04.24.05 - UPDATE
The AKC Board of Directors has received our proposal
for requesting permanent acceptance of the domestic herding
registries. The Board Operations and Planning Committee will review
it in May, and the AKC Board of Directors will consider it at their
July meeting.
3.14.05 BALLOT
RESULTS REPORT
Below is a report from the
Inspectors of Election who counted the Stud Book issues ballots
last Friday. Ninety-seven (97%) of the voters were opposed
to allowing the stud book to close in January, 2006.
Eighty-one (81%) were in favor of requesting that the stud book be
permanently open to ABCA, NASDS, AIBC, CBCA, and ISDS (in addition
to all of the "regular" international all-breed
registries already accepted by AKC). So, this is the request BCSA
and the Stud Book Committee will pursue with AKC. Thanks to all
who cast their ballots and let their voices be heard! And thanks
to all who worked hard to create the ballots, process them and
count them.
