Thank you for considering me for judging
agility at the 2010 BCSA specialty. My interests in dogs
began in 1980 when I took the family collie to obedience
school. I wanted a dog of my own, and a friend told me
about border collies. She had seen BCs competing in
obedience at Crufts. Her description of the breed convinced
me that I had to own one.
In 1981, I bought my first BC to show in
obedience. In 1991, I was bit by the agility bug. I
became an AKC agility judge soon after AKC adopted its
agility program. In addition to judging agility for AKC, I
am a licensed USDAA Masters judge. I like fast, open
courses that give the dog a chance to open up. I currently
show my two BCs in agility, herding, conformation, and
obedience.
