2010 BORDER COLLIE NATIONAL SPECIALTY
October 18-24, 2010 - Purina Farms - Gray Summit, Missouri
JUDGE PATRICIA CHARLTON

Return to Judge Central

Thank you for considering me for judging agility at the 2010 BCSA specialty.   My interests in dogs began in 1980 when I took the family collie to obedience school.  I wanted a dog of my own, and a friend told me about border collies.  She had seen BCs competing in obedience at Crufts.  Her description of the breed convinced me that I had to own one.

In 1981, I bought my first BC to show in obedience.    In 1991, I was bit by the agility bug.  I became an AKC agility judge soon after AKC adopted its agility program.  In addition to judging agility for AKC, I am a licensed USDAA Masters judge.  I like fast, open courses that give the dog a chance to open up.   I currently show my two BCs in agility, herding, conformation, and obedience.
