2009 Rescue Benefit sees an increase of 44% in fundraising.

A very big heart felt thanks to everyone that came to the rescue dinner. Our dinner started out with a bang with more guests attending than earlier forecasts. A very special thanks to Team Rescue: Gail Storm, Lisa Martin, Laura Everson, Jill Wanie, Denise Mathiowetz and Rose Riedl. These volunteers spent countless hours organizing and planning one of the largest rescue benefits in the history of BCSA. A new format change brought in bigger results than past rescue dinners. In 2008 the rescue dinner brought in about $2,923.02. In 2009 the rescue dinner brought in $5,263.43. An increase of 44% which has helped fund many needed medical expenses for Border Collies. The silent auction was a huge hit as guests could continue to bid for items they really wanted. Not to mention a little friendly competition between friends in the bidding wars. The silent auction alone brought in over $4,100.00. To spice up the evening Team Rescue brought in a professional auctioneer which added some excitement to the night.

A special thanks to all the people and businesses that contributed to the rescue benefit. Their generous contributions help make this dinner a success.
