CONFORMATION FUN MATCH - WEDNESDAY 10/15 - HOLIDAY INN AT SIX FLAGS

RESULTS:

The fun match drew a small but mighty bunch at the end of a cold and rainy day. Judge Sonja Donaldson had flown in from California and was eager to put her hands on our athletic and talented working dogs. Best in Match was awarded to Linda Koutsky's "Wycked", Winterwood's Wycked Wayz CD. Wycked received a lovely Border collie pin donated by Judy Menown and a beautiful ribbon. Best of Opposite was awarded to "Moca" HC Molly's Moca Fire N Ice HXAdsc HXBs owned by Molly Wisecarver.

CH Bonnidune Bombs Away RA HSAds HSBs MX AXJ NAP XF, "Blitz" owned by Trisha Eifert took home the Best Performance Titled Champion award.

Plan to join the fun with your performance titled Border collies. On Wednesday evening, we will gather at the host hotel, the Holiday Inn at Six Flags to salute these talented dogs by offering a conformation match judged on the AKC breed standard.

There are no age divisions, just dog and bitch classes in each of the following categories: Agility Titled - Herding Titled (HT or higher) - Obedience/Rally Titled - Tracking Titled - Multi Performance Titled. The dog and bitch winner of each class will return to the ring to compete for "Best Performance Titled Border Collie" and "Best Performance Opposite Sex Border Collie". To compete in the regular classes, you must not have completed their breed championship (* see below). There will be a Best in Match and a Best of Opposite Sex chosen.

* If you have completed their breed championship and have Performance title(s), you may compete in the "Best of Performance Titled Champions" class. There will be no direct competition between regular Performance Titled classes and this class. A "Best Performance Titled Champion" will be chosen but no “Opposite Sex”. This class will be judged after the Performance Best of Breed.

  • ILP dogs are encouraged to participate!!

  • Professional handlers may only show dogs that they own.

  • Spayed and neutered dogs are allowed.

  • Cost is $5.00/class.

  • Entries are accepted ringside only.

  • All class placements receive rosettes.

  • Best in Match and Best of Opposite receive a large rosette.

  • Classes are: Herding Titled (HT or higher) • Obedience/Rally Titled • Tracking Titled • Agility Titled • Multi Performance Titled • Performance title Breed Champion
