2007 BORDER COLLIE NATIONAL SPECIALTY
October 15-21, 2007-Purina Farms-Gray Summit, Missouri
JUDGE SHARON HODGENS-WOOD

Return to Judge Central

I have been involved in the sport of obedience since the early 1970's when I brought home my first Standard Schnauzer. I took that dog to obedience school pretty much in self-defense and she went on to become the first CH OTCH Standard Schnauzer and the first OTCH in the state of Minnesota. Since then I have earned UD's on three more Standard Schnauzers, one of whom also earned a UDX and an OTCH. I downsized to a Sheltie a few years ago and he earned a UD last fall. We are currently working on UDX legs.

I've been an AKC obedience judge since 1996 and enjoy the broader perspective of the sport from this side of the clipboard also. And I've met many interesting obedience folks and their dogs in various parts of the country.

I am honored to have been asked to judge the Border Collie National Specialty and am looking forward to seeing these fine dogs.
