8.22.07 - HERE'S A SNEAK PEAK AT WHO YOU'LL SEE IN THE PARADE OF CHAMPIONS

CH JENCOLA AMERICAN DREAM CD RA OA OAJ HT NAC NJC NCC TN-N - "Griffin" - Dog owned by Cheryl Turpin (FL)

Griffin is born in America from European parents. He is co-owned with me by Renea Windley. He earned his Championship at just over a year old. All his other titles followed soon after.
He is my first Border Collie and has taught me to love the breed unconditionally as he loves me. His most wonderful quality is that everything we do together is a partnership of knowing each other's moves before we take the first step and dancing to each other's song. And I believe the most beautiful steps are the ones we take together for the most perfect of dances between dog and human.

CH WAGONS HO WAITN FORA GIRL LIKE U NA NAJ CGC FDCH HT - "Solong" - Bitch owned by Cheryl Turpin (FL)

She is my first champion dog. She finished with all majors, no single points for this girl. She has been a joy to train in Agility and Obedience. She is also very good at our newest sport, Flyball.
After all the fun and excitement of sports, we are going to finally try being a mom to her first litter of puppies this fall. I know she will be great at that too!

CH SNOFIRE’S PLAY’N IN THE WAVES - "Fish" - Bitch owned by April Bruce (UT)

Fish earned her Championship at the rather young age of 19 months. She finished with three majors and multiple Best of Breed wins. On the day she finished her Championship, not only did she win Best of Breed over two Specials but she also went on to win a Group 3.
Fish originally earned her call name due to where she was born. We were on vacation visiting the Oregon coast when Fish and her littermates decided to make their appearance - a week early! Fish has since lived up to her name by how much she loves playing in water! Be it her water bucket at home, a kiddy wading pool, a lake in the mountains or the Pacific Ocean, there is no keeping Fish from “Play’n in the Waves”!

CH PAIRODOCS MEDICINE MAN CGC HIC - "Jackson" - Dog owned by Justin and Kim Peacock (FL)

While escaping from Hurricane Dennis in 2005 I heard of a wonderful border collie breeder, Pairodocs Kennels. I only went to look at the puppies and when I looked in the puppy pen, I saw Jackson. He kinda stuck out like a sore thumb since he was the only black/white puppy in a group of all merles. When I picked up Jackson, there was something about him that made me want him. Unfortunately, he was to young to take home, I had to traveled back up to Tennessee from Florida to buy him when he was old enough.
I don't think I could ever be so proud of a dog as I am of Jackson. He has everything I would ever want out of a Border Collie...looks, stamina, drive and a sweet personality. Jackson finished his championship very quickly and did wonderful at the National last year winning his 12-18 month class. Being it was our first year at the Nationals I fell we did great. Not knowing very many people, we walked with many new friends. I only have more hopes and dreams for this guy in the future. Many thanks to Stephanie Gafford M.D. & Christopher Gafford M.D. from Pairodocs Border Collies for breeding such a special boy.

CH COMPANION'S HAPPY HOUR HIC - "Bogey" - Dog owned by Kim Peacock, Debbie Gomila, Renea Windley (FL)

I was approached by Debbie Gomila to show Bogey. At four month of age, I picked him up from MS to live with me until he was finished. But after showing him and not knowing he and I would fall in love with one another and finishing him, I asked Renea Windley and Debbie Gomila if he could stay and live with me forever. After seeing the connection, he had with my family I knew he belonged with us, the Peacocks. I am really excited for Bogey since he took BOB his first weekend out against some hard competition. Bogey has also started in the Juniors ring with my daughter Ashley. Watch out for Bogey this upcoming year. I expect a lot out of him. Many, many thanks to Debbie Gomila and Renea Windley, from Companion Border Collies, for allowing me to show such a wonderful boy.

CH HC OTCH MACH HOB NOB TRIPLE PLAY UDX - "Slider" - Dog owned by Jo Roach (WA)

Slider is my first border collie. When his breeder, Jan DeMello, asked me if I wanted to be the little tri-boy's mom, I had no idea what a fantastic journey this little pup would take me on. He is my sweetest momma's boy who wants to do everything and the faster the better! He never runs out of energy and willingness to work and he tries so hard to make sure he gets his job done right. He is the ultimate teammate and I can't imagine my life without him. As a trainer, he is the first dog I have earned any kind of championship with. And although I am proud to say that Slider was owner trained and handled to all four of his championships, I must admit that Slider made it easy for me by being an exceptional dog. I also had the help of several fantastic instructors who guided me through the training. It seems weird to be writing this as it makes it seem like the ending to a long story but my little baby boy just turned 4 years old in September! We will continue to compete in agility and herding plus we are going to start tracking to see if we can get that elusive fifth championship. I am looking forward to many more years of competing with my Amazing Sliderman! He is just a dream come true!

CH. WAGON’S HO IT’S ABOUT TIME - "Chloe" - Bitch owned by Gary Anderson and Danielle Chesley (NY)

CH. Wagon’s Ho It’s About Time fits her name perfectly. My dad had always wanted a Border Collie but he was too busy giving me all the dogs I wanted growing up. So it was my goal to make his wish come true, however as you know it is hard to find that perfect Border Collie. She had to be Championship quality, good in Agility, and great with kids, female, black and white and so on. So I waited and then it was his wish that came true for his 50th birthday. We couldn’t be more proud of her.
Since then she has earned her American Championship and her Mexican and International Championship at the World Dog Show this year in Mexico. We are very excited about competing in Canada soon.
Chloe and Dad have been working very hard since 12 weeks of age in Agility. They are just starting to get out and compete. They are competing here this week. It is a lot of fun to see the two of them in Agility. We have more plans for her in Herding, Obedience, and Rally, along with making her a mommy. The only thing we need now is time.

VCh. LINWALD'S COME BY IVY PT CD OA OAJ CGC JHD - "Ivy" - Bitch owned by Mary Patrice Ezzo, VMD & Linda J. Dietrich

Ivy finished her OA & OAJ titles in agility and JHD in herding. With her busy schedule, Ivy still finds time to participate in reading programs for children at local libraries and schools. Ivy and everyone at Ariel, HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME AT THE NATIONAL.

Ch. ARIEL LINWALD BEAN SI - "Bea" - Bitch owned by Mary Patrice Ezzo, VMD & Linda J. Dietrich

Bean Si is Celtic and pronounced Banshee and Bea lives up to the name. Look close and you can see the horns or halo, sometimes both at once. She won Best Bred By Exhibitor In Breed at the 2006 AKC/Eukanuba Invitational National Championship. Bad Baby Bea, even though she is the fun police, and everyone at Ariel, HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME AT THE NATIONAL.

Ch. SKYE DANCING PT CGC - "Skye" - Dog owned by Linda J. Dietrich & Bernee L. Brawn

Skye, at 14 and half years old, is the GRAND CHAMPION of patrolling the rings and grounds for leftover bait. Skye and everyone at Linwald, HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME AT THE NATIONAL.
