The 2006 winner of the versatility award was HC MACH Mihran Aztec CDX HXAds HXBds, owned and handled by Lisa Roberts of North Carolina. Tec is a 9-1/2 year old dynamo who came out of retirement not only to compete for this award, but to also start working towards a UDX and maybe even his OTCH (he earned his first two utility legs at the specialty). You might think Tec is a bit old to start campaigning towards these titles, but Lisa keeps him in fantastic shape -- he has the energy and stamina of a dog half his age!

Our top runners-up for this award were CHX UACH V. R'Quest Adren-Line Rush OA OAJ RA HSAds (Tripp) owned by Missi Roland of Illinois, and HC Sheepycorner Queen of Hearts HXAds HXBds AX AXJ (Ginn) owned by Chuck & Susane Hoffman of Minnesota.

There were 19 dogs competing this year. Nine dogs finished the week with points in herding and at least two other venues -- an amazing feat in itself! More on these great dogs will appear in Borderlines.
