George has owned dogs in the sporting, working and herding groups since the early 60’s. He has trained and showed Shetland Sheepdogs under the “Anteup” kennel name since 1983. As an owner-handler George and Anteup shelties are multiple BIS and Specialty winners and has breed numerous champions and Dams of Merit. He also has trained several of his dogs in obedience consistently scoring in the high 190’s.

George began judging in 1995 and is approved to judge the Herding Group, Eight Non-Sporting Breeds, Best in Show, Miscellaneous and Juniors. He has ten years experience as show chairman and an additional five years as chief ring steward for the Wisconsin Rapids Kennel Club.

George retired two years ago after 35 years as a school principal. He now spend his time teaching down hill skiing in the winter, is the captain of a 40 foot charter/cruise boat in the summer and writes federal and state “No Child left Behind” grants for two school districts.
