2006 BORDER COLLIE NATIONAL SPECIALTY
October 16-22, 2006-Purina Farms-Gray Summit, Missouri
HERDING JUDGE JOY SEBASTIAN-HALL
Return to Judge Central

Bob started herding about 14 years ago with his German Shepherd. Bob and his wife, Rochelle, owned the only white German Shepherd in North America to earn an AKC HX title. Later on, Bob took a two-time rescue German Shepherd Dog through the AKC herding program and earned an HC within fourteen months from start to finish. Bob eventually began to trial his German Shepherds at sanctioned USBCHA trials in the ranch and pro-novice classes.

Approximately 4 and a half years ago, Bob and Rochelle moved to Ramona, California where they own a mini-ranch with a small commercial flock of Dorset, Khatadin and Rambouliet sheep, horses and 'lots of dogs.'

Despite working a 60-hour a week job for the Federal Government, Bob still manages to train his dogs, judge the occasional AKC and AHBA trial and even do a clinic now and then. Today, Bob competes primarily in USBCHA trials and is a multiple open trial winner. He has competed at some of the larger and most challenging courses in the country including the Meeker Classic, Soldier Hollow, Zamora and the Sonoma WIne Country SDT.

Bob and Rochelle are particularly proud of their own breeding program, which includes three generations of working Border Collies.
