PARKING INFORMATION

Here's the 411...
 

Show Hours: 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. Security entrance gates to Purina Farms will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm daily. Security is on duty 24 hours a day. The Herding Trial Site will be available to exhibitors at 6:00 am, Monday, October 16, 2006.

Show Site: The site will be available to exhibitors at 7:00am Wednesday. Dogs and RV’s must be removed from the show site on Sunday, October 22, 2006 by 6:00 pm.  A map showing the parking areas is available on the Venue page.

Recreational Vehicles: Purina Farms offers free RV parking behind the visitor center. Electricity and water are provided. No reservations are required. Space is available on a first come basis. No RVs will be allowed to park on the upper level during the specialty.  Septic Services will be pumping RVs on Wednesday, October 18 and Saturday, October 21. Please be sure to leave enough space for them to access your dump area.

Overnight Access: Overnight and/or RV parking is permitted on graveled or asphalt lots, close to the rings. There are 43 RV spaces with electric hook-ups and water nearby. From 8:00 pm to midnight, gates are closed, but access to and from the facility is still possible. The exit gate automatically opens to allow guests to leave. A security guard will be at the gate each hour on the hour to allow overnight guests back onto the premises. Between midnight and 7:00 am, gates are closed with no access.

No reserved parking: Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. No spaces will be reserved or saved with traffic cones, ex-pens or any other equipment. Everyone must follow the instructions of the Grounds Committee.

Disallowed Parking: Absolutely NO VEHICLES will be allowed to drive or park on the grass on or near the show site. NO RV’s or overnight parking will be permitted on the lower, tree-shaded gravel parking lot.

Day Parking: There will be no charge for day parking at Purina Farms. More than 400 hard surface parking spaces are available.  The majority of parking is on either side of the show fields. One lot that holds approximately 150 cars is completely shaded by large trees.
