05-31-06 - HERDING
Joyce Norris, Herding Chair, has started her recruiting efforts
early this year. She is still looking for members to fill these
important positions: Course Director, Course A ducks, Course
Director, Course A sheep, Chief Steward. She is also looking
for volunteers to time/scribe, run sheets to the secretary's
table, and line up exhibitors at the gate for each course.
This year the Board of Directors received approval from the AKC to have a
random draw for herding entries. The draw will be done similarly
to random draws for agility trials. (Complete details for the draw
will be in the premium list.) To attract more workers at the
herding trials, we also received approval for a separate random
draw for worker entries. If you
would like to work at the trials and be eligible for the worker
random draw, be sure to write on your entry envelope " WORKER
ENTRY".
Please also send an e-mail to Joyce
letting her know what job you would like to do and also what
classes you are entered in. Every effort will be made to
minimize conflicts. |

OBEDIENCE INVITATIONAL
The invitations for the 2006 BCSA
Obedience Invitational have now been issued. Most were sent via
e-mail. If an e-mail address was not available, they were
sent via USPS. If you have not yet received an invitation,
you may still qualify per rule #4 as outlined on the
2006 Invitational webpage. All OTCH
and UDX dogs are invited automatically -- no invitation sent. If
you are entering at the level to which you were invited, then you
do not have to fill out the shows/scores part of the entry form.
If you wish to move up or if you are an unranked team, then please
submit the shows and scores on your
Entry Form. If
you have any questions, contact
Kat. We look forward to
seeing your team at Purina Farms in October! ~ Kat Ferruzza, 2006
